What is mytopthings?

A simple site for making and sharing ordered lists of your favourite things — films, albums, books, places, whatever matters to you. Each list lives at its own URL you can share with anyone.

Is it free?

Yes, completely free. Create an account and start listing straight away.

How do I create a list?

Sign up for an account, then click "+ New list" in the navigation. Give your list a title, add up to 10 items (plain text, max 80 characters each), and save.

Can I keep my lists private?

Yes — each list can be set to public or private when you create or edit it. Private lists won't appear on your profile or in the popular lists section.

What are the limits on list items?

Up to 10 items per list, up to 80 characters of plain text per item. No HTML, images, or links inside items — just text.

How does the view count work?

Each unique visitor per day counts as one view. Your own visits to your own lists don't count. Known bots and crawlers are excluded.

Can I change my username?

Not currently — your username forms part of all your list URLs, so changing it would break existing links. Choose carefully when you register.
